She's waiting for her savoir to come

by Tangible heartache   Aug 7, 2008

She's strong on the surface,
But what's underneath the composure?
Times ticking like a bomb about to explode,
Underneath this mask, she knows it's over.

Tears spill over her beautiful brown eyes,
And down her pretty rose flushed cheeks,
Screams of fear explode and erupt from below,
And the air is filled with raw crying shrieks.

She lashes out in anger, and screams a bloody murder.
Tired of being misunderstood and ignored,
She cries to be heard, and to be loved,
Waiting for her broken heart to be restored.

She's waiting for her savoir to come,
And rescue her from the terror.
To tell her everything's going to be alright;
A gem incredible, and far more rarer.

To save her from the darkness that's taken over,
Drowning her in her worrying and her fears,
To come and take that all away,
And wipe away all her tears.

He may think he's not perfect,
And that he doesn't deserve her one bit,
But he's got it all wrong, and he's the angel,
She's not perfect, and she's glad to admit.

Now she sits in the darkness,
Waiting for her perfect angel to appear,
For him to save her from herself,
And take away her every fear.

Her dreams came true,
And they aren't very far
He'll take his time and understand,
The she wished on a shooting star.
