To those who fell.

by Rachel   Aug 7, 2008

All that lays.
A concrete slab.
A name portrayed.
As just another lad.

But he died while he served.
he stood up tall.
God softly caught him.
As he began to fall.

He swollowed his pride.
And fought his best.
And now lays as an individual.
With all of the rest.

So many sons.
So many men.
Whos mothers and fathers
Wont see them again.

But be proud of your sons.
Be proud of your brothers.
For they did something..
Far too scary for many others.

And they will be remembered.
As the soldiers that ruled.
We one the war.
Thanks to them all.

Thank you very much. I wanted to do exactly that. I wanted to make the person who had passed sound worthless and then emphasise how important they actually were. x

Im not sure what got me about this but it immediately pulled me in.
    It flows rhythmatically.
