Cherry Blossom

by StandStill   Aug 8, 2008

Little girl from cherry hills,
ribbons tied around blonde hair,
swings sweetly by the fresh-cut grass;
she sees no evil there.

Little girl above cherry blossom lane
watches the petals shimmer 'round.
Running through the sweet sunshine,
hearing simple, happy sounds.

Little girl in the adobe house,
sweet smiles for summert days.
Wonder what happened to the little girl...
she seems to have disappeared; gone away.

Little girl stands so strong,
not so little anymore.
Watches the cherry blossoms burst
and sings sweetly with the moon.
