I stumbled upon a post early this morning,
The birds we waking as the day was dawning.
And on this post someone had wrote
'To all travelers take note
You are leaving Berkshire, please take care,
And may your journey be peaceful and fair'.
And no sooner had I got much further
I saw a post much like the other.
But on it was a note of a different kind
'Please turn back if you would not mind,
We like our peace and quiet in equal measure
And do not wish to be disturbed by your idle leisure'
