Blue Rose

by Wolf Haines   Aug 8, 2008

A blue rose enclosed,
Both petal and thorn still betrothed.
Delivering beauty on eyes divine.
Yet drawing blood like a cameriera would wine.

Petal and thorn,
From the same stem born.
Love and hurt in such proximity.
Oh such truth, but oh such irony.

"Petal and thorn from the same stem born"
These are amazing words. These metaphors really convince us that love and pain both come from one starting point. ~sasha~
