The Colosseum

by Wolf Haines   Aug 8, 2008

They fought for pride,
They fought inside
The ring of entertainment.

They fought and tried
To stay alive
In the walls of grandeur.

They fought and died,
But no one cried
In the cage of death.

Surrounded by the 'civilised'.
Watching, their eyes pried
In the stadium of cruelty.

With their weapons they applied
Murderous techniques. Death they defied.
In the Colosseum.
