My Story

by lyle fortin   Jun 3, 2004

As we read the story of my heart
We get to the most confusing part
We have learned of love and love lost
Only to be shocked by the cost
Now turn the page
And feel my rage
As my heart, body, and soul cry out
"We know you want to scream and shout"
But I choose to keep my sorrow hidden
I know that my love is ever forbidden
I will never learn from my sorrowful past
I make the same mistakes, as if no time passed
I keep writing tale after tale in this story
This story of Love, and Love's mourning
