A Stanza For Each Special Friend

You're my foundation, you are my soul
You all mean the world to me.
We'll all be friends until the end,
We'll stay friends steadfastly.

And you are the one who listens,
And to whom I can pour out my heart.
You're the one I know will be there
When my life falls apart.

And you are the one I party with,
We have Fam Guy nights with wine.
It makes me feel fantastic to know
The best friends in the world are mine.

And you are the one I regret losing,
And am so glad we're friends again now.
We want to be best friends forever
And I know we'll do it somehow.

And you are the one who'll buy me the moon
If you think it makes me smile.
I know you'd do anything for me
If it'd make me happy for just a while.

And you are the one who texts me every day
Just to see how I'm feeling.
You are the one who understands
The feelings I show and the ones I'm concealing.

And you are the one who sticks up for me
And says 'I won't go if you don't'.
I can't see you ever hurting me,
You're too sweet so you won't.

And you are the one who will slag off the world
While we're bored and cold in the pub.
We'll light some fags and chat for hours
In our 'We Hate Whoever' club.

And you are the one I don't want to lose
But I'm afraid I might be.
For you, because I love you,
I will tread more carefully.

And you are the one I've not seen in years
And now we're best friends once more.
We have such times to remember
And a millennium to make up for.

And you are the one who makes me happy
Just by being you.
I'll always remember the laughs we've shared
And the times that we've been through.

And you are the one I love to bits
Even if you are an arse.
ASDA photos and Costa coffee
Are the best of our memories past.

And you are the one who's changed so much
And who I am sorry to.
I shouldn't have shouted, I shouldn't have yelled
And I should have listened to you.

And you are the one who's just turned 18
And so will buy me cigarettes, yes?
Even though you nag at me,
I love you nonetheless.

And you are the one I never tire of
And never could find to be a pain.
We have so many inside jokes
And will tell them again and again.

And you are the one who's been there forever
And you are my oldest friend.
I hope we'll carry on our friendship
Until we reach the end.

And you are the ones I cannot mention
Else this poem would be epic.

So to friends who've been there all the time,
To all friends near and far,
I write this poem with you in mind.
You know who you are.
