Memoirs of a broken heart

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Aug 9, 2008

With empty soul, and bloodshot eyes
I'm prepared to start
My personal biography
Memoirs of a broken heart

I was once, a happy man
Full of love and soul
I had a girl to keep me happy
The one that made me whole

Then one day you stepped in my life
A wounded creature of extraordinary grace
If only I knew she was the devil
And it was hell, I was about to face

I wiped away her tears
And looked into her crimson eyes
From that moment everything changed
Doubts began to rise

Her smile captivated me
Until I could hardly sleep
Every time I was with my love
My heart would simply weep

She had me wrapped around her finger
Had me rethink my decisions past
She took my mind away from me
Things were changing way too fast

She caused me to leave the girl
Who would ever really care
Laying in bed with her just wishing
It was you that was lying there

Then the demon would vanish forever
Without even a single whisper
Left heartless and burned
I knew I would never miss her

I went back to my true love
And she wouldn't take me back
When those words fell from her lips
My heartbeat fell off track

Special thanks to the demon,
For making this all come true
Opposing people believed in me
But no, that was never you

Unconvincing this story might be
But believe me it is based on fact
After all you put me through
I'm surprised my hearts intact

This is my greek tragedy
No actor can play my part
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is my nightmare
Memoirs of a broken heart
