In desperation

Desperately awaiting the day
when my boy would come and say
"darling I'm here"

hoping that maybe we could
rekindle the fire
come forth and share our desire
but all with no avail

do i sit here and wait
'til he comes to tell me
that its all ok
that he will stand be my side another day

i sing this song full of woe and misery
wondering what drove him
away from me
not only can i not see it
but i have become to numb to feel it

i shall sit awaiting the day
when my dearly departed lover
will come to my side and
say "its all over,I'm here again"
