An August Night

by Lynn Anderson   Aug 10, 2008

The sun begins to set,
On this summer day.
Approaching the skies of night.
The wind, the trees obey.
Watching all of nature,
While listening to a breeze.
Writing this down on paper,
To share this wonderful evening.
I can feel in the air,
On this August night.
Fall is almost here,
The chill in the air proves me right.
Summers about to end.
It will be a tragedy.
Say hello to Autumn,
And good-bye to the leaves.
Its a cold summers night,
Ending a hot summers day.
The stars are always shining bright,
Shining right my way.

That is cool. Enjoyed reading that. I have a grand daughter named Autumn so I guess I got an extra kick out of the poem. Smile.
