Rise Above

I stand below a monstrous gray cloud
Not minding the beauty that floats above my head
And instead of thinking how awesome nature is
I thought of you honey, of our love instead

It made me think of those rainy days
Where things in our relationship don't seem to go right
Where my tears fall and create their own puddle
Those times where we lose our sleep at night

It made me think of those rocky moments
Where we don't think we're going to make it together
When breaking up seems to be the popular question
We aren't sure if we can make it forever

I realized sweetheart that we may live through gray clouds
That there are times where we doubt our love
But if we just make it through the turbulence and bad weather
We will eventually learn we have to rise above

Rise above the madness and the chaos that starts
Rise above thick cloud that slows down you and I
Because when we reach the top of that dull colored cloud
There is always peaceful, clear, blue skies
