Center Stage.

by Steven Beesley   Aug 10, 2008

Daily battles that have no cause,
leaving deep and bitter scars.
Not once can your mind be at ease,
even in slumber you have no peace.

There are so many fits of rage,
atrocities made to spoken words
and insults rampant that take center stage.

Back stabbers like ants on a rampage,
they take no rest, seizing every advantage
to devastate and annihilate.
A single mindedness that shall obliterate.

Opponents all killed, they thirst for more;
turn upon each other to see what will
be the final score.

    Very deep and intense emotions fill this piece.

    Daily battles that have no cause,
    leaving deep and bitter scars.
    Not once can your mind be at ease,
    even in slumber you have no peace.

    So sad when one thinks that daily life has to be a battle.

    There are so many fits of rage,
    atrocities made to spoken words
    and insults rampant that take center stage.

    It would be nice if one could slow down and see what their actions in life create.

    Back stabbers like ants on a rampage,
    they take no rest, seizing every advantage
    to devastate and annihilate.
    A single mindedness that shall obliterate.

    Great imagery and word choices.

    Opponents all killed, they thirst for more;
    turn upon each other to see what will
    be the final score

    Great job on this piece.
    Love and hugs
