To facebook I do owe,
for the love that I found,
as he opened the door.
When I first looked into his eyes,
so bright and so blue..
it was him I'd been searching for
my whole life through.
Then his arms wrapped around me,
so tight and so true,
the sweet taste of his lips,
Flooded by feelings,
How could this be?
There before me stood a man,
my knight in shining armour,
my prince, my angel.
it all happened so fast,
I couldn't stop it
before it began.
We had a great weekend,
Had lots to do,
But before we knew,
it was Monday and
the weekend was through.
That final kiss and
whispered I love you,
haunted me all the way home,
and left me feeling so blue.
I had to depart from a man
that I knew,
deep in my heart,
to him, I'd always be true.
Here I sit today,
with him in mind,
hundreds of miles apart,
but knowing he's always here
ever so close to heart.
All these feelings so new,
my heart about to explode,
there are no words to explain,
just a sweet whispered..
"you're my everything"
Needing to feel him,
as I lay down to sleep,
remembering my day,
and the memories that I keep.
As the sun rises
and I awake,
all the love that I feel,
I know is not fake.
Knowing without a doubt,
he's all I need,
all I desire, all I want,
the one I cannot
live without.
One day our dreams will come true,
we'll sit side by side,
and look to the future,
Imagining what is next and
that it's meant for just us two.
Watching the kids grow,
finishing school,
becoming adults,
and watching them go.
All alone,
Just the two of us,
still saying I love you
in that one special tone.
The gray is coming in,
and the wrinkles begin to show,
but still believing we
have many years to go.
My last breath I will draw in,
tell him how happy he's made me,
and that my love's always been true
Knowing this is the last time
I'll get to look up at him
I'll close my eyes and
peacefully go,
behind heaven's gate,
to a place where
I'll sit and wait..
for my one true love
to join me,
and that's where we will
spend.... eternity.
