It's Quiet Here

by Robert Daniel Long   Aug 10, 2008

It's quiet here
Under the mid day sun

Beneath the trees
In the coolness
Of the shade
It's .,
A time to relax
A time to unwind

The only sound heard
Is the breeze
Rustling the leaves
As it makes it's way
To somewhere

In the quiet
You..........,
Begin to hear things
More clearly
The music of the birds
The songs of the crickets
Or the lonely call
Of the owl
Somewhere in the distance

Your thoughts
Begin to shed light
And you..............,
Begin to think of things
Things
That are dear to you
Like love.............. And family

Which
Are your most precious gift

You look at life
Differently
Moments
Become more clear
Relationships
Become more defined
And
Your friendships mean more

In the quiet
You get
A new perspective
Of your surroundings
You learn to listen
A little bit more

It's here in the quiet
That
You are at one
With the very one
Who made you

So
Here in the quiet
Learn to reflect
Learn to listen
To that voice that calls
From within

Because
In doing so
You'll learn the secret

Of why it's quiet here
