A Shopaholic's Needs

by Emma   Aug 10, 2008

I town it in my lunch break
To find some nourishment.
I draw out five, ten, a hundred pounds
And shop to my heart's content.

Labels are my sustenance
And designers are the cooks.
Ralph Lauren's treats look as delicious
As the pictures in cookbooks.

My grocery shop is Gucci.
Boss beats Mr Kipling any day.
I'll wine and dine with Burberry
Dior and Gaultier.

And high street may be cheaper
But it's no less tantalising.
There's bargains galore and nobody
Constantly supervising.

I'll lunch with Dorothy Perkins
And I'll grab treats in Topshop too.
Debenhams know I'm on my way -
There's a sale on for the shoes.

No time to spare for eating
Or other less important things.
I'm walking on stilettos
But I feel like I've got wings.

It doesn't matter where I go:
Folkestone, London, Rome;
Whenever I go shopping,
The town becomes my own.
