Zipped

by Emma   Aug 11, 2008

Because you are my friend
I will not say a word.
I'll seal my lips forever.
I won't mention what I've heard.
I won't bring up something of which
I know you'll be ashamed.
Let's just say I know something happened.
I'm not naming any names.

But it shocks me, what you did,
And she's my friend as well.
I can't believe you'd put her
Through that mental hell.
To make her feel so weak
Is cruel beyond your limit.
The story sounds exaggerated
So should I believe in it?

I'd like to ask you, but I'm scared you'll hurt.
I don't want to make you remember what you're trying to forget.
But I hope you know, for keeping my mouth shut,
You're forever in my debt.
