Family Secrets 1 (Mommy's Secret)

*LONG POEM*

Mommy doesn't speak
And daddy is at the brink
When others are around
Issues are sound
Everyone smiles but me
We're a happy family
The picture of perfection
But don't look at our reflection
It's not what it seems
And it all happened before me
Two people in love since childhood
Both passionate and so misunderstood
But something pulled them apart
Ripping each of their hearts
Mommy says she can't take anymore
Says she's leaving and then walks out the door
Daddy takes what she said to his head
He meets someone and takes her to bed
There's no turning back now
And mommy found out somehow
But she didn't mean what she said, she was mad
Now matters are worse, and it's just so sad
She's a woman scorned
Christian lifestyle no more
Mommy leaves one day
For what daddy did, he will pay
She's insecure, hurt, and angry inside
And meets up with another man with revenge on her mind
And uh-oh mommy's belly is growing
Who's the daddy? I think it's better not knowing
He looks like mommy, and her mother
Not at all like daddy, big sister and brother
The freaky thing is mommy likes him best
Although he's the bad apple leaving her restless
Two myre daughters down the line
And everything seems fine
But I heard something that maybe I wasn't supposed to hear
"It's okay if you're not my daddy" he whispered in daddy's ear
Tempers were flaring; they argued a lot
I heard plenty of yelling, but about what
It was like they were on speed
Sister said mommy was gonna pack us up and leave
But it's all a blur to me
Because of this mommy still doesn't speak
Daddy is quiet, his beer is his luxury
While I continue to figure out this mystery
And no one tells Becca anything
Forget the effects it brings
Mommy doesn't think I have a clue
But I just want to know the truth
Daddy lets things slip out from time to time
Who cares if this legacy is mine
So shh... keep this a secret for me
I have yet to learn the whole story
We all keep secrets from each other
The truth of the matter is...
the middle child my really be my half brother
