Little boy and little girl

by joanne   Aug 11, 2008

Everything is going to be fine
A spoiled little girl; all is mine
Too bad underneath the mask
This little girl holds never-ending tasks
She fakes the smile for her parents
She fakes the pride of earning merits
Each night holds a new addiction
Each minute holds a self affliction
Every morning she powders her flaws
Out in public she hopes not to fall
Unknowing of the stranger near
A little boy perceptive of her fears
He tries to get closer his flaws block
She only thinks of him being a mock
Confidence as his number one friend
He works for her heart; him as its mend
Slowly, faithfully gods plan for her turns
Not being the only one with flaws she learns
Each nights a fight for him to keep alive
His parents beat him brutally even inside
Steadily their hearts grow into one human being
Plans to run away together give their life meaning
Happy now together she no longer fears for her life
She digs a hole and in it she throws the deadly knife
His bruises heal and his emotions no longer die
They take each day without saying to them goodbye
