Nobody Gives a Shit About a Crying Hobo

by Soulful Ensemble   Aug 11, 2008

The normal ones,
The ones that care.
They're gone, somewhere
And I have to bare.

And the trees are silently falling
Nobody seems to notice.
Grandma's on the floor and crawling
Looking for a white lotus.

Nobody gives a shit about a crying hobo
Walking by and laughing at his bowl
Thats empty just like their souls
And sucks in kindness like a hole.

I'm tired of people who always say "No"
And everything you ask of them is "No"
And if you want to smile its "No"
And if you want to laugh its "No"
And don't you dare try something they don't know
They'll panic again and just say " No".

These zombie men are everywhere
I can no longer deal with them.
I'm pulling out my hair
And wishing for new stems.

I would replace every single stem
And have everyone disappear.
Love is, everywhere, condemned
And it will never re-appear.

Out of love it seems not fair
To have to continue on.
Why do we try so hard to wear
Things somebody else would pawn
And not appreciate in whole
But break it into parts so cold
That nobody could ever hold.

I'm tired of everyone saying "No"
I want to hear one "Yes"
And not a silent but a loud one, I confess.
And if it doesn't come so fast, Ill die in waiting
Because its not worth living a life thats failing.
