The truth in the lies

by tandamya   Aug 11, 2008

The smile on my face is not always real,
it's just easier to make people believe that everything is alright,
but if you just glance at me when i don't see,
then you will finally see,
that the smile is not there,
the smile that people say is so beautiful,
that they say is so intriguing,
the one that people love and think lights up the room,
is a fake,
and if people ever knew that they would no,
that everything is not alright,
but trying to explain to them why,
is so much harder then you think,
they ask questions,
and all you want is for them to go back,
go back to thinking everything was alright again,
because although people say the truth shall set you free,
sometimes the truth is worse then the lies,
thats why this wonderful smile i have is fake,
thats why the thing that most people like about me,
is not really there at all,
it's why i leave all my feeling to the darkness,
and my smile for the day,
it's why i love the night,
because it's the one time i can show the world who i am,
i can show them my real expression,
i can show them all the hurt the pain the anguish,
that is truly there,
so if you glance at me now and you don't see me smiling,
please don't read into it,
and if you do want to no come see me in the darkness,
and i will show you my real smile,
the one that makes you light up,
the one that is truly there,
underneath all the fake,
and the lies,
i will show you the truth in the lies.
