Thunderstorms at 2am

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Aug 12, 2008

Telephone ringing quiet
But nobody is home
The only thing I know how to do
Is leave everything I've known

Passenger seat of rain-washed car
But I'm getting nowhere fast
The raindrops count the seconds
Hope that time can last

Telephone still ringing
Everyone is gone again
A fast car to nowhere
Thunderstorms at 2am

Windshield wiper counts the seconds
Till I am in her arms
Till I can kiss her on the forehead
Keep driving till I'm done

^^ I really love this stanza just because..it's relatable. especially the fast car to nowhere bit.
