Joys of love

by Orchid Man   Aug 13, 2008

There are times throughout life when a day greets you with a smile -
- the sun wakes up, shakes its sleepy head, and then hands you its sunbeams
Later on during the darkness of night the moon also creeps into our bedroom -
- lighting our way and sharing our moments of love with its moon beams.

I didn't like being away from you for those past two days - the days were too long
Orchid Lady, I kept looking at my watch, but it seemed to have gone to sleep
Each time I looked at it the hands appeared to be unmoving and in the same position
Sweetheart, I must confess thinking of you brought love to my thinking and smiles to my face.

Falling in love is so wonderful; days appear clearer and a lonely heart begins to smile again
All the days of hope and longing suddenly disappear and life lifts its head in wonderment
When we met for the second time I couldn't allow myself to lose you again so I held onto your hand
As our fingers clung together I felt moments of joy that you still bring me and our hands remembered.

Our hands remembered the joy love had always brought to them; those tender moments they had shared
Even today I can still feel the softness of your fingers and the way they bring me so much happiness
Who would have thought fingers could change the world? - well my Orchid, they changed mine!
Simply walking with our hands entwined makes me feel like a King walking beside his Princess.

As I drove home yesterday morning my heart was urging me to get home as quickly as I could
If a heart could talk it would have gone on incessantly but I didn't need to be reminded of my want
People in real love do not need to be reminded of the passion inside them - it lives there always
I sighed at the moment I drove into the driveway; a sigh that told me I was home with you once more.
