Ebony, my dearest Ebony.

I'm searching the fields,

Looking for rabbits.

If you see a black one,

I sure hope you grab it.

That's my dear Ebony,

Whom I set free.

It's not like I meant to,

She ran away from me!

I felt terrible,

Always locked in her cage.

Every once in awhile,

I thought she might like to play.

Most days I could catch her,

But I left for the fair.

Darkness was coming,

And I saw her no where.

So I searched and I searched,

All the next day.

But my dear Ebony,

I could not find her i'm afraid.

I think of her from day to day,

Wonder if she made any babies,

Went to the streets,

Or maybe went gay?

I hold on to Ebony,

In my dear dreams.

I know she's out there,

scheming up schemes.

I miss her nose ,

She would so frequently wiggle.

Those two little teeth,

How she loved carrots to nibble.

It is never funny,

to lose a bunny.

She hopped away,

and I felt crummey.

But I know I'll see her again,

She'll hop the fields with her pimp.

This day I cannot wait.

To see Ebony and her children ,

I know she'll be great.
