If Jesus were here as your Best Friend
You'd both go to the skate park around the bend
You'd both go on a picnic and climb some trees
And you'd both lie on the grass sipping ice tea

If Jesus were your Best Friend today
He'd come over to your house just to play
You'd both play basketball and Heaven's Monopoly
And He'd always buy the Golden Boardwalk

If Jesus were your Best Friend all the time
You'd both go to Six Flags and not stand in line
You'd both play Bozo Bucket's just to see who'd win
And of course, every time it would be Him

But if you want Jesus as your Best Friend
To start this relationship will all depend
On whether or not your dedication lasts
And if it does, by your side He'll always stand

If you want a Best Friend, just simply pray
"Jesus, please save me and wash my sins away."
He will listen to you and be your Best Friend
