She returns into this room of white,
She hesitates then turns off the light.
Holding the delicate rose in her hand,
Maybe this time she will understand.
The antisipation grows while she waits,
Hoping he'll tell her exactly her fate.
All the while her senses grow stronger,
Hoping this wait doesn't last much longer.
Suddenly she senses some movement here,
She senses him moving, but he doesn't come near
"Dark Knight?" She asked, "Is that you?"
He finally comes closer, old feelings seem new.
He takes her in his arms, with a gentle touch.
She tries to see him, but she doesn't see much.
She hold onto him, with a grip so tight,
She dances with him slowly towards the light.
When she turns it on, he fled without a word,
A falling piece of paper was the sound that she heard.
"My darling, for we cannot be,
I no longer love you, is the reason you see.
I will not come if you turn off the light,
I will leave you alone, Signed the Knight."
She puts down the paper and falls to the ground,
Her heartbreaking cry is the only sound.
The once beautiful red rose begins to wither away,
And everything that had color, now turns gray.
She feels so lost, and completely confused,
She feels so powerless, she feels so used.
For days now, she turns off the light,
And awaits the return of the mysterious Knight.
How long will she wonder? How long will she cry?
How long will she wait for his reply?
Still holding the withering rose in her hand,
She waits in the room until she undertands.
The Knight is gone, but how long will he go?
How long will she wonder? When will she know?
Dark Knight, no matter what she goes through,
I know she will sit there and wait for you.
Maybe some day her sky will be blue,
And maybe one day you'll love her to0.
