Eternal Love

I heard you were in town,
But I didn't want to see you.
Because I didn't want the pain,
That in the past you've put me through.

But the most vivid thing I remember,
Are those dark brown eyes of yours.
Because they told me everything,
That our love stood for.

And when I think of those eyes,
I'd really wish you'd call.
But then I think back and see,
How our relationship took that fall.

We fell down to the bottom,
Of the love we've lost and all the tears.
And I still can't believe,
I love you exactly the same, after all these years.

And even though the pain you've caused,
Hasn't healed within me.
I just want you to patch up my wounds,
So my spirit can finally be set free.

Even though I miss you more each day,
And when I see the stars, I see your face.
But I always think to my self, there's noone,
In this world that could ever take your place.

And I hope you know I gave you my heart,
And you still have it to this day.
But my love for you is eternal,
Nothing or noone can take it away.
