At the Center of my World

by Lesslovedthanloathed   Aug 15, 2008

In the midst of all the hating,
Among the most misplaced things,
Behind the locked doors of my heart,
Into the depths of my soul,
You lie at the center of my world.

When I close my eyes,
Whenever I cry,
You know I'll be thinking of you.
Hidden in my deepest thoughts,
Forever engraved in my memories.

The rhythm of my heart beat,
The song that I live by,
Its you that I hold dear,
For the best days of my life,
Were with you by my side.

The thoughts behind my smile,
The smile behind my thoughts,
Its you that I desire,
You're the one I want,
You who lies at the center of my world.

Interesting. Very emotional towards the end. Obviously the character is longing for someone to be with them. You described how much emotion they felt very well. Good job.
