You Are Leaving

..You Are Leaving..

Wandering around the streets, gazing at the void
Trying to block my mind from nightmarish feelings
Something is about to happen, a shiver crosses my body
Deep down I force myself to believe this can never be.

Time never stops, destiny never forgives
A tragic night erased everything I once embraced
Sharp pieces of my life with you hit me with grief
An ambulance, blinding lights, confusion and fear.

Never really I thought of you gone
Yet misgivings unnerved me constantly
Was it a presentiment of what was going on?
Should I have truly listened and acted bravely?

When you are so young, you don't realise
For you misfortune is such a far away threat
You cannot see through beautiful words and painful lies
How your innocent world has become a big playacting.

If only I could listen one last time to your voice
And quietly see how beautifully your lips move
If only I could relive our years together and our joy
Not a minute I would waste just to be with you.

Never really I thought of you gone
Yet misgivings unnerved me constantly
Was it a presentiment of what was going on?
Should I have truly listened and acted bravely?

Fake 'I'm fine's effort to cover my lacking heart
But pretending cannot conceal the mournful truth
That My Angel's eyelids are not waking up
That slowly you are leaving despite your youth
That slowly as the falling of a leaf
You are leaving, leaving me.
