Love's Emptiness

Love, why must torment me so?
Leave me so I don't even know
Who is there deep in my heart
And where and when and how to start.
You leave me feeling lost and alone.
Feeling as if I were a clone
No true feelings to speak of,
Just empty thoughts above
And empty longing just below
For where after all shall my heart go?
