Collide

by Helene   Aug 16, 2008

The love of a thousand lifetimes,
The scar to last the longest,
Burned deepest in the core of you,
Where agony rule strongest.
A heart already broken,
When given away again,
A vow of love unspoken,
To end before it began.
A beauty to confide in,
But a beast beneath her skin,
She let you into hoping,
And you just let her in.

A dream you could believe in,
That you never got to find,
Before you let your guards down,
And let her in behind.
A treachery unheard of,
A torture without end,
A beauty with a secret,
Her love as fake pretend.
You gave her what she wanted,
And she devoured the rest,
She built you up from pieces,
And broke you at your best.

The love of a thousand lifetimes,
A tear your never cried,
The loss of all believing,
When hopes of love collide.
