Truth About Death

by Lyrical Heart   Aug 16, 2008

A group of young people are gathered around a stone bench in a park. Their discussions are light, unserious until someone asks about death.

One boy says, "When I die I will be a rich old man."
Another says, "I will be listening to music from my favorite band."
A girl says, "I will have all the shoes I ever wanted."
Her friend replies, "And I will have all designer clothes!" As they go on about what they will do when they die. Some want riches and valubles, other want to be doing the thing they love.

Then they turned to me and asked, "What will you do when you die?"
I couldn't help but smile behind thesheild of my book.
With that same smile, I looked up and said:

"Nothing, for I will be dead."
