Autumn Love

by Cee   Aug 16, 2008

The dew on the grass
Reflected the sun
A tale of autumn love
Had now begun

They walked through the meadow
At the break of dawn
And in hand
Through the field of corn

The starlings took flight
As the couple grew near
The gate slowly opened
Nothing to fear

They settled under the tree
To watch the sunrise red
With a squirrel storing acorns
For it's children to be fed

They moved closer together
Gazed into each other's eyes
This wasn't a relationship
To be based upon lies

He tilted her chin up wards
Leant forward slightly
Placed his soft, loving lips
On the girl's lightly

They held that pose for a moment or two
With the sun beams in the sky
With shadows of nature around
As time slowly went by

They rose up together
Again hand in hand
Watched the last sun beam
Be cast on the land

They walked side by side
A perfect couple they make
Their love for each other
So truly far from fake

But this my good friends
Was only a fairytale
But somewhere couple exists
Their love to never fail
