Viewing the Dead

by Cee   Aug 16, 2008

I stepped into the dark room
All was silent
Accept for the crackling and spitting
From the crimson fire in the center
Bodies lined the room
All position socially
It wasn't until I drew closer
That I realized they were dead
I looked around the silent room
Watching the eyes of each corpse
Every one embracing the same cold stare
The silence grew colder
An eerie mist crossed the room
Bodies and souls of people spread around
So close in comfort for me to see their details
All gone for good
