A gift

What is this warm feeling
that i have inside)

it comes from you kiss and your smile
it lights up my life)

like the sun rising to the top of the earth.)
or the very first sight of a child's birth)

this warmth i speak of
is the thing they call love)

its like a gift sent from god
and the heavens above)

but you must be careful
and show this gift respect)

because it can take your soul
and leave your whole world a wreak)

it can steal your life
in the blink of an eye)

and leave you crying all alone
in the dark of the night)

and theres no turning back
once the damage is done )

because love leaves you fading
like the setting of the sun .....
