The Sun

by Tiffany Fisher   Aug 17, 2008

The sun shines around us
Guiding us through the day
Giving us all the world to see
With its golden rays

When the cold wind blows through
And the clouds try to cover the sky
The sun is there to warm you
A constant ally

When the rivers of our land
Overflow their banks
The sun is there to dry it up
And never expects a thanks

The haunts of dark nights
Seem to just fly away
When the horizon turns golden
And the sun comes out to play

Down in the forest
Its light giving food
Plants cries of hunger
Its rays shall never eschew

The sun shines around us
Guiding us through the day
Giving us all the world to see
With its golden rays
