This is a song that my mom and I wrote for my grandma Rosie, and her new husband Bobby. They were as you might say high school sweethearts. He was the captain of football team & she was captain of the cheerleading squad. They were voted most popular couple. But he was a senior when she was a junior, so they split up after he graduated and went into the army.
My grandma got married soon after she graduated and had my mom but soon after that, my grandpa and she got divorced. Bobbys wife of 50 years just recently died of cancer. When my grandma heard, she wrote him a letter and said she was sorry to hear the bad news, but soon after that, he wrote back and said, can I have your number? So they started talking more and more and after a couple of months they knew they were really meant for each other. A couple of months ago, they decided to get married & have been soooo happy ever since then (:
