Perfection

Each and every day
There is this feeling within me
That I must continue to question this world,
This place that we live in is not as it seems to be
If only this was a perfect world

If only this world was as perfect as it is in my mind
No longer having to hide my flaws
Trying to show off that I can write poetry
Is something that I need not to anymore
To be something I am

And not be a fake
To just let it all go and let the world see
That underneath all these layers,
There is a person beneath it all
Trying to let go of his past

To walk forward to his own future
One that will be shaped not by the anger in his heart
Or the fear of heart ache
But one of hope
And of faith

Then, the world and he
Will be able to say
That this world in his mind
Is no longer just an image
That the world he lives in,
Is finally perfect
