Your Angel

by Searching for Guidance   Aug 17, 2008

Telling the truth hurts so much
Yet lies do not work either.
Everywhere I turn I break someone's heart.
Every decision a step into the dark
Where is my angel to see me through?
Why has she gone away?
What happened to, "No matter what it is you do,
I'll never go astray?"
Now, more than ever, I need her
A push in the right direction, a pitied smile
Something to let me know I'm alive
What if I'm not?
I certainly feel lost.
I want to be someone's angel
To form the smile lines around their eyes
To give them a push out of bed
Encouragement to start their life
Let me be your angel
I'll never let you fall.
For my wings will carry both of us once and for all.
I can be the one to save you, if you'd only let me in
Open your heart to see the light, that is where you must begin.
Love,
Your Angel
