In an Open Meadow

by Tamara   Aug 18, 2008

Standing in an open meadow;
the wind, clumsy child's hands
trying to braid my hair
then tossing it in frustration.

Laying in an open meadow;
the sun, gentle lover's hands
caressing my face
warming and bringing a glow.

Taking in an open meadow;
blue sky above me,
soft green grass below.
Indigo mountains, guard the jewel
of this hidden garden.
Filled with diamond daises
and saphire forget-me-nots,
scattered on an emerald carpet.

Staying in an open meadow,
time standing still.
All thoughts dissapate leaving room for serenity.

    Beautiful imagery that really touched me. The sun is so pleasurable and you described it perfectly.

    Wow, I'm just speechless. Right here, I was grasping every word, and there was so much images going through my mind. You certainly know who to capture the reader's attention.

    Wonderful ending, great word choice too.
