A Love I Once Knew

by NineteenMinutes   Aug 19, 2008

Sat in the tree top, there all alone,
Nowhere to go, no place but home,
Reminiscing, thoughts flash to you,
Our love was once pure, our love was once true,
Sat on the park bench, where you carved our name,
I've been here before, but it's no longer the same,
You're not with me, the thing I adore,
We were once strong, now we are no more,
Sat on the beach, my feet in the sand,
Remembering you, when you held my hand,
The feeling I got, when you even came near,
What can I do, with you no longer here?
Sat in the corner, covered by pain,
My heart is broken, but beats all the same,
I need you now, more than ever before,
But you don't need me, not any more,
Closing my eyes, thinking of you,
And the love we once had, the love I once knew.
