Have You Ever (Very Long - Yet Meaningful)

Have you ever had a friend
That drowns in their pain?
Have you ever tried to fix something
But you know it will never be the same?

Have you ever heard those little voices
That say "Run before your dead"?
Have you ever felt so low
Because you can't get those memories out of you head?

Have you ever felt alone
As if no one knows your there?
Have you ever wondered why life hurts so much
And don't understand why no one cares?

Have you ever been there for someone
But they never do the same in return?
Have you ever tried to do something
But you know you'll never learn?

Have you ever been used
Only for amusement?
Have you ever believed they were nice
But you found out it was all an illusion?

Have you ever been hurt
That you know you'll never re-gain?
Have you ever made promises to yourself
That you never will feel that way again?

Have you ever been so in love
That it makes you feel like you can survive?
Have you ever let him know
Now he doesn't care your alive?

Have you ever met someone
Who always makes you smile?
Have they ever told you to get over him
But they don't understand it will take a while?

Have you ever felt so sad
Filled with so much pain?
Have you ever wished for someone
To come and clear all your shame?

That later on seems so un-kind?

That dies more and more inside?

But you know she's just cried?

To the one person you can't hold?
Have you ever been with someone
Who tries to fit you into the perfect mold?

Have you ever had personal goals
With results that seem so far?
Have you ever seen a car crash
And wished you were in that car?

Have you ever felt alone
That you think you should just leave?
Have you ever tried to cover up every hidden scar
Underneath your sleeve?

Have you ever been left out in the dark
By someone you call your "Friend"?
Have you ever been so hurt before
That you know you'll never mend?

Have you ever been labeled a "Freak"
Because of the things you say and feel?
Have you ever experienced so much pain
That you start to believe that things arn't real?

Have you ever felt so confused
Because you start to feel a real smile?
Have you ever wanted to reach the end of a rainbow
But it just keeps going mile after mile?

Have you ever felt like you should just go
So things might be OK?
Have you ever been told to go to hell
So you don't ruin their perfect display?

Have you ever wanted to fly
And wanna be able to really smile?
Have you ever wanted to go to a happy place
Even if you had to walk a thousand miles?

Have you ever been lying to yourself
Just trying to believe?
Have you ever been told to stand still
When you know you should just leave?

Have you ever been in love with someone
But you don't want to believe it's true?
Have you ever been hurt so bad
That you doubt you'll make it through?

Have you ever waited
For something to come true?
Have you ever wanted that one person
To say "I love you"?

Have you ever stopped believing
In something you've always stood by?
Have you ever tried to stay strong
But all you can do is cry?

Have you ever lost yourself
And everything you ever were?
Have you ever become broken
Because he only wants 'her'?

Have you ever tried to leave
Cause of the things they all say?
Have you ever wished for something bright
Just to lighten up your day?

Have you ever wished you were happy
Just so you don't have to be so fake?
Have you ever felt like it is all a night-mare
But you just can't seem to wake?

Have you ever wanted to run away
Cause they just won't shut-up?
Have you ever wished for something
But you then remember, you have no luck?
