The broken words

by shrey maheshwari   Aug 19, 2008

The words that all i have to say,
are full of despair and dismay,
as my whole world is lost,
and i am standing here as a ghost,
i can still feel the love that flourished,
i can still feel the memories that i still cherish,
i can still see those nights and days,
i can still feel those springs and summery mays,
when me and my spouse had a great time,
the time when we both rang are relationship chymes,
the time when are kids played here,
the time when there was all joy and no tear,
but now the words that all have t say,
are full of despair and dismay.

everything was quite and calm,
nature showed it's own charm,
when at once a wave stroked,
when at once sorrows hiked,
each and everyone present sighed,
everything will be alright to my children i lied,
but i knew there is something strange,
and now everything is got to change,
life was gone and only cadavers remained,
i don't understand by this what has god gained?
everything was gone and everything was lost,
and now i stand here as a full fledged ghost,
with no one around to see,
with no emotions left in me,
but still the words that i have to say,
are full of despair and dismay.

now everyday i come here,
to mourn on my dead kids and spouse,
and to shed tears,
but i have a hope that this place will flourish again,
and some day or the other i will loose my pain,
and that day i will write again,
without any pain,
and then i will have a few words to say,
which will be full of joy and gay.....

This is so sad and I pray that this loss is only fiction!

There is so much imagery and emotion in this piece that it reads as real to me and that scares me.

Either way it is a powerful poem. Well done and welcome to club.
