Mirrors and make overs

by theory of the loser   Aug 19, 2008

Nobody sees it,
that's what you think,
but your wrong, that's not true.

Even though you don't know me,
I seem to know so much about you,
I'm not unreasonable,
I know your flaws, or atleast some of them,
I know it hurts, and the pain you feel is there,
I know how it won't go away.

You don't think anyone understands,
true no one will, not even I,
maybe not even you.

Sometimes the pain is too much,
I know that fake smile,
gets more fake with each passing minute,
the glittering eyes you once had are just a memory,
I need you to know, that you shouldn't give up,
cause there's nothing left to lose,
nothing left to hug.

I don't look you in the eyes,
not even in the mirror,
I just don't want to see the tears,
that I know are there.

You don't see it,
but neither do I,
how we live in the same world,
and all we do is cry,
I hate that when I look in the mirror,
I see your fake smile,
I hate that the picture that looks back at me,
isn't me at all,
I hate that I can't hate him for making us this way,
I hate that the face I look at in the morning of each day,
is you, not me,
it's who they made me up to be...
