"How do you know when you're older," mumbled the three-year old to her grandma,
"When you get a big girl bed," her grandma said.
"How do you know when you're older," questioned the five-year old whilst on her bed she jumped.
"When you can tie your shoes," assumed the sister, while falling on the floor with a thump.
"How do you know when you're older," wondered the eight-year old tying her shoes.
"When all your teeth you've loosed," her friends replied.
"How do you know when you're older," thought the ten-year old without any baby teeth.
"When you've started middle school called Keith," her brother boasted.
"How do you know when you're older," interrogated the fourteen-year-old at her middle school graduation.
"When you get your license at the department of transportation," her cousin lectured.
"How do you know when you're older," demanded the licensed sixteen-year-old.
"When you get asked to prom," her mom alleged.
"How do you know when you're older," summoned the girl in a gown and tiara.
"When your life has begun a new era," her parents spoke of college.
"How do you know when you're older," inquired the high school graduate to her family.
"When you've got a job, then you'll see," they explained.
"How do you know when you're older," asked the working girl to her boss. Her boss was at a loss for words and told her to ask her dad.

"When four kids and a husband you've had," supposed the dad.
