Dear Mommy, (I Miss You)

by Taylor   Aug 19, 2008

Dear Mommy, I'm huddle in a little ball
I cannot wait until I can get out and learn to crawl
Is the food in the real world really yummy?
I cannot wait until I can get out and learn to crawl
Hey Mommy, did you feel me kick your tummy?
You're breathing is soothing me, I'm falling asleep
I want to breathe my first breath, I'm so excited
Only 7 months to go, your love is so deep
I want to open my eyes, and never be able to hide it

Dear Mommy, why are you moving so fast?
I'm rolling around, Mommy, please stop
Fluid is draining in, how long will this last?
Why do I feel like my heart will drop?
Wait Mommy, why is it getting so dark?
I can't feel anything anymore
My body is numb, I can't hear my heart
Everything is starting to become sore

Dear Mommy, I can see you right now
You are having fun with your friends
A smile on your face, you're laughing around
Will you ever be able to see me again?
Mommy, what's that drink in your hand?
How come you can't hear me calling you?
There is this man speaking to me, but I can't understand
He's telling me that, with me, you are through

Dear Mommy, why did you do this to me?
Mommy, I love you, but I can't believe you
Why would you even think of this, Mommy, please
How could you think of such a horrible thing to do?

Aww thats really powerful. its very well written and the beginning is a normal pregnancy thing and then it twists into an abortion. thats really clever.

your language as the baby was very touching, good skill in poetry and one of my faves to read. well done on this xx
