Perfect Girl

by Carissa   Jun 4, 2004

She's perfect in every way
her hair, her smile,
as she takes everyones breath away
It seems as if she has the Perfect life
with all her friends and beauty
but all she comes back to is this knife
You see scars upon her wrists
as she trys to cover it up
blood drips down her fists
all these questions running through your head,
is it just for attention?
or does she really wanna be dead?
people stare and question her marks
as i stand there everything gets dark
I pull up my sleeve and see
we're exactly the same
that perfect girl is just like me
we both make our pain go away
by cutting into our skin
when our world turns grey
So me and that perfect girl
are somewhat the same
Hopeing all this pain would disappear and go up in a flame
but than i realiza its stupid to hope
because we're in the real world
and we just gotta cope
the pains never gonna leave
But maybe sometimes you just gotta believe...
