Assassination of Caesar

by Goodbye   Aug 20, 2008

Who would have ever guessed?
The dictator of Rome
Lies dead on the floor
Twenty-tree stabs on his back
-not a small amount indeed!

He was powerful and magnificent
Reached his position by battlefields
Is this the destiny he deserved?
Even Brutus betrayed him.
-How come he did?

Imperators will be changed
The power will be removed
One after another man fight
To be the sovereign of the world
- So wanted is the head of state

Enemies or friends
People will rebel against ruler
Any man who holds sceptre
Will have the destiny of Caesar
-People of Rome, we are once again free!

    'Any man who holds sceptre

These two lines are very true. It's a power game after all! Nice topic and very well explained. How much powerful a man may be but one day he has to fall down. This rule never changes. Good poem!
