Where were you?

by Stronger than words can describe   Aug 20, 2008

Where were you when i cried alone at night?
where were you to say everything will be alright?
where were you when i listen to mamas cries?
where were you when i whipped away my brothers tears?
where were you when we needed you most?
where were you when we were living on the coast?

you won't there to see me turn eight,
you won't there to see me graduate,
you would never give me the time of day,
you never tried looking my way.

How can you betray me, your own daughter?
how do you expect me to grow without a father?
Now i live with my mother,
and i never see my brother.

i tried being your daughter i tried so hard,
now i give up, you won't get a call or a card.
