You asked me to stop breathing

by XXXNellieXXX   Aug 21, 2008

Fight after fight, quarrel after quarrel
Good times and bad
We, both happy and sad
We are two different people
Though we love the same

A little time was all i needed
To figure out what i wanted
To know if to change for you
Would either bring me bliss or sorrow and misery

I'm insecure and i'm overprotected, you know that
But something ago, you accepted me just like that
Why did you now insult my freedomless life
Why did you stab your golden knife?!

I called for you this morning
And you simply, violently said to call you later
I see now ME, you can do better
In just that call, with just that voice, my heart stopped beating
Can't you see, indirectly you asked me to stop breathing

This poem ended so powerfully and it was great. I loved the range of emotion you put into it and again, the ending just ended it perfectly. Great work, keep writing!

The last line is extremely powerful and perfect ending! :]

I love this, but remember... you don't need to change for ANYONE, but rather find someone who accepts you for who You are, not what they WANT you to become :]
